Imaging can be a critically important part of diagnosing an illness. Imaging can also be valuable in ruling out certain diseases. At DocDM, your physician can order different modalities like x-ray, ultrasounds, MRIs, and CT scans. In certain regions, mobile imaging services are available as well. This means an imaging service can come straight to wherever you are located! Your imaging studies will be read by a trained radiologist and all results will be discussed in depth! If at that point we need to involve a specialist, DocDM will refer to a skilled physician in your area. DocDM can also consult with you about imaging requests. Always wanted a full-body MRI? Here are some of the common uses for our different imaging modalities:
X-ray: pneumonia, bone fracture, abnormal masses, foreign objects, calcifications, heart failure
Ultrasound: liver disease, gallstones, fluid collections, abscess, kidney stones, kidney disease, effusions, ascites, aneurysm, pancreatitis, fibroids, blood clots
CT Scan: stroke, mini-stroke (TIA), pancreatitis, gallstones, kidney stones, infections, tumors
MRI: stroke, multiple sclerosis, osteomyelitis (infection of the bone), tendon or ligament injuries, tumors
